Project Overview
Hanover Tower is a newly developed residential high-rise located in Fort Lauderdale, designed to provide modern urban living within a rapidly growing South Florida market. SDI was engaged to implement the building’s integrated technology infrastructure, including access control, surveillance systems, visitor management, and audio-visual technologies throughout the property.
Working with Hanover Properties, a national developer based in Houston, the project required a coordinated system design that could support building security, resident access, and operational oversight across a large residential tower environment.

Challenge
Large residential developments must balance strong security controls with convenient access for residents and visitors. Hanover Tower required systems capable of managing building entry, residential access, and visitor circulation while maintaining efficient building operations.
In addition, the technology infrastructure needed to integrate with elevator access systems and other operational technologies within the building. Ensuring that these systems worked together within a cohesive platform required careful planning of system architecture and coordination across multiple building technologies.
Process
SDI implemented an integrated low-voltage infrastructure that connected access control, surveillance systems, visitor management platforms, and audio-visual technologies throughout the property. Access control systems were installed at key entry points and circulation areas to manage resident and visitor access. Surveillance infrastructure was strategically positioned to monitor critical areas within the building while maintaining a discreet presence.
Elevator access control integration ensured secure vertical circulation throughout the tower while supporting efficient resident movement.
