Paramount Towers at Miami Worldcenter

Integrated Low-Voltage Systems for a Landmark Residential Tower

Miami, Florida

2019

Project Overview

Paramount Miami Worldcenter is a signature residential tower within the larger Miami Worldcenter development in downtown Miami. The project includes luxury residences, parking structures, and a variety of shared amenities designed to support a high-density urban lifestyle.

SDI was engaged to design and implement the building’s integrated low-voltage systems, including access control, surveillance infrastructure, and audio-visual technologies across the property. The objective was to create a cohesive technology environment that could support building security, resident access management, and amenity spaces while integrating seamlessly with the broader development infrastructure.

Challenge

High-rise residential towers present complex security and operational challenges due to the volume of residents, guests, and service personnel moving through the building each day. Paramount Miami Worldcenter required a comprehensive system capable of managing building entry, visitor access, garage circulation, and shared amenity spaces within a cohesive security framework.

The design also needed to align with the broader infrastructure of the Miami Worldcenter development while supporting a modern residential experience for occupants. Balancing these operational demands while maintaining efficient system performance required careful planning and coordination across multiple building systems.

Process

SDI designed and implemented an integrated low-voltage infrastructure that connected access control, surveillance systems, and amenity technologies throughout the property. Access control systems were deployed to manage entry points and resident movement through the building, while surveillance infrastructure was strategically positioned to monitor key circulation areas. Visitor management systems were incorporated to streamline guest access while maintaining appropriate security protocols.

In addition, SDI integrated audio-visual technologies within shared amenity spaces to support events, resident activities, and building programming. The coordinated system architecture ensured that security and operational technologies functioned together as a unified platform.

Impact

The completed system provides Paramount Miami Worldcenter with a robust security and technology infrastructure capable of supporting the daily operations of a large residential tower. Residents benefit from streamlined building access and well-supported amenity spaces, while property management gains improved visibility into security and operational activity throughout the building.

The integrated technology framework allows the property to maintain a secure and efficient environment while adapting to evolving operational and technology needs over time.

Large urban residential towers require security and technology systems that support both operational oversight and the daily movement of residents, guests, and building staff. At Paramount Miami Worldcenter, SDI developed an integrated technology framework designed to coordinate building access, security monitoring, and amenity space functionality across multiple areas of the property.

The goal was to create a unified system environment capable of supporting residential living while maintaining strong operational control and security coverage throughout the building.
